The Southern California Poetry Festival (#SoCalPoFest as the young hoodlums at Poetry Foundation refer to it) is coming up in a few weeks here in Long Beach! One of our poetry editors, Jax NTP, will be there representing another online journal that does fantastic work. Go watch her read on Saturday and you’ll be in for a treat.
Other poets we love will be there on either of the 2 days, including Douglas Kearney, Marilyn Chin, Paisley Rekdal, Robin Coste Lewis, Charles Harper Webb, Amy Gerstler, Brendan Constantine, Amy Uyematsu, and dozens of up-and-coming poets expanding the L.A. area’s voice in the writing community. I think there are still some (free) tickets left. It’s at the aquarium (so cool). Marcus and I will be walking around, brain-orgasming and taking in the action, so slip us some of your work if you see us there.
